SR170CX & SR340CX
These sophisticated solar charge regulators have been designed
using a special microcontroller. This microcontroller together
with a smart electronic circuit provides high-efficiency
charging technology combined with a 50% reduction of electronic
components (compared to conventional regulators), this means
excellent battery charging is now available at reasonable
cost and with outstanding reliability even with tough environmental
conditions.
The temperature compensated three stage PWM
charging method (boost / absorption / equalization / float)
provides an increase in battery life expectancy compared
to simple on/off regulators. The regulator also adjusts
to battery type, battery capacity and ambient temperature
to increase battery life.
Extra features on the SR170LCD & SR340LCD
are LCD displays providing important information about the
solar system, battery state of charge, load current and
solar charge current. A special feature is the energy management
control output, loads like a fridge can make use of excess
solar energy if the energy management control output is
connected, this gives much higher utilization of the energy
provided by the solar system and reduces power consumption
/ lost energy.
